The Goal

Wanted a home for newborn and growing family, Big open great room (vaulted ceiling in the great room), hardwood flooring, multi-colored cabinets in the kitchen, big bonus room (bonus room over garage), unique look, rinnai tankless instant water heater, maximum structural strength for high-wind area.

A home with a unique look on the outside that could accommodate their newborn and growing family. Maximum structural strength and noise resistance because of the high-wind area. Also seeking an open floor plan and a kitchen with cabinet colors that were somewhat unique.

The Build

For the exterior, our team designed a contemporary exterior and used blue hardi lap siding, brown hardi shakes, and composite trim. We opened up the great room with a vaulted ceiling, and used two different colors for the kitchen cabinets which were variations of the green and beige used for walls, flooring, and countertop. The ICF resulted in a home that withstands winds up to 250mph and is four times more noise resistant than a wood-framed home.
